THE COMING MIDDLE EAST ‘PEACE’?

If you have been delaying fleeing from the Daughter of Babylon/America because Israel has not yet signed a peace agreement, you might be interested in what is shaping up in the Middle East. Believe it or not, the most important Muslim nation in the world is making peace overtures to Israel. Say what?

On August 3, 2014 Saudi Arabian King Abdullah called Israel’s actions in Gaza “war crimes against humanity”.

However, on August 21st Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Al Saud told a world assembly of Islamic scholars that it was time for the Islamic world to recognize Israel and denounce their hatred of the Jewish nation. Read that sentence again.

What’s going on?

The answer is undoubtedly provided by King Abdullah’s August 30^th warning. “If we ignore them (radical Islamists), I am sure they will reach Europe in a month and America in another month.” The King said that “lack of rapid action” would be “unacceptable”. Incredibly, he said that “terrorism at this time is an evil force that must be fought with wisdom and speed”. What we are witnessing is a seismic shift of political and religious alliances and interests in the Middle East. What caused King Abdullah and Foreign Minister Al Saud to suddenly show interest in peaceful accommodation with Israel? Before we answer that question, it’s critical to understand Saudi Arabia’s Jihadist background.

Saudi Arabia – the Mother of Wahabism

Saudi Arabia is the original home of the most radical of the world’s Jihadists, followers of Wahabism. Wahabism was founded by Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al Wahab (1703-1792), who strongly advocated that Islam return to the practices of violence and strict adherence to Muhammad’s teachings. Today’s Saudi Arabia was founded on an 18^th-century alliance between the Wahhabi religious movement and the House of Saud. A formal agreement was made which allowed the Saud family to run the government and handle political matters and the Wahabists to be responsible for religious matters.

Ibn Saud turned his Wahabi Bedouin tribesmen into a violent and bloodthirsty army. They burned and beheaded thousands, as Saud consolidated control of the Arabian Peninsula. In 1932 Saud named himself King of a new nation he modestly named Saudi Arabia. Saud’s Wahabi followers had no tolerance for 20^th century advancements, or for non-Muslims living in Arabia. Forcing their Wahabist principles on others, they killed as many as half a million people.

Saud has been succeeded by several descendants over time who invested their growing treasure of billions of petrodollars in palaces, Rolls Royces, Boeing 747s and lavish trips abroad, sharing generously with their own family members, but sparingly with the citizens of Saudi Arabia. The House of Saud also used its billions to arm itself against its own citizens, and to pay for military ventures against Israel by fellow Muslim nations. Strict Wahabists have objected to the presence of American military units on Saudi soil, but the House of Saud assuaged them by paying for madrassas, which are schools that indoctrinate students with radical Wahabist doctrines, teaching their students that Jews, Christians and Americans are to be hated and killed. One of Osama bin Laden’s objections to America was its presence on the Saudi Arabian peninsula. Wahabism is the dominant form of Islam found in Saudi Arabia and Qatar and is also popular in Egypt, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates and Bahrain. Wahabists control the two holy cities of Mecca and Medina, giving Wahabists great influence in the Muslim world. More important are the extensive oil fields of Saudi Arabia which have been used to fund the promotion of Islam’s most radical sect across the world. More than 1,500 mosques across the globe were built from Saudi petro funds over the last 50 years.

The House of Saud has funded an estimated “90% of the expenses of the entire faith,” throughout the Muslim world, according to journalist Dawood al-Shirian. The Saud family lavished funds on journalists and academics who followed Wahabism. The financial power of Saudi Wahhabism has overwhelmed less strict interpretations of Islam. As a result, Wahabism is viewed by Muslims worldwide as the “gold standard” of Islam.

All of this is more than just historically interesting. It explains why the 9/11 terrorists came from the Wahabist nation of Saudi Arabia; it explains why Osama bin Laden came from Saudi Arabia; and it explains how radical Muslim Jihadists have been successful in the spread of their radical philosophy to other Muslims, using the petrodollars we spend at our local gas stations. So, what do the Wahabists say their intentions are for the world?

There are two predominant Wahabist beliefs:

Phase I – The absolute destruction of the heathen world.

Phase II – Muslims will inherit the earth and everything in it.

Why is Saudi Arabia Proposing Peace with Israel?

Imagine that you had a really dysfunctional family in which your several sons were all taught to be violent and to steal from and abuse others. Over time, after the boys left home, you supplied their financial needs, sending them hundreds of thousands of dollars to support their violent lifestyles. Everything moved along nicely, until, that is, one of your sons decides that he should not only be the head of family, but he should also take his violence to a new level, beheading and crucifying those who don’t follow him. His hyper level of violence attracts thousands, then tens of thousands of followers, including some from right next door to your house. You never got along with your County Sheriff, even teaching your sons and others to hate him and maybe someday kill him. However, now that your terrorist son is sounding more and more like he will kill you and replace you as head of the family, the County Sheriff is beginning to look like someone you’d better make up with, and even ask him for his help when things get dicey.

The comparison obviously is not exact, but the point is that Saudi Arabia’s political leaders have obviously made a conscious decision to try and keep their heads on their bodies while retaining their thrones. America has been the Saudi royal family’s primary source of protection and defense for decades. But….now? Would you count on America to protect you after all that it has done to undermine US-friendly administrations in Egypt and Libya and Iraq and….you get the idea. The political arm of Saudi Arabia, headed by the King, has now signaled to Israel that the Muslim nation can co-exist with Israel, as long as Israel agrees to protect Saudi Arabia with its arsenal of weaponry, which it has proven repeatedly that it knows how to use. What will happen in the Madrassas schools which today teach that Israel is to be hated and ultimately destroyed? Time will tell.

Will Israel Make Peace?

Would Israel make such a peace agreement with the leading Muslim nation in the world? Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu three days ago said that “there is a realignment of forces in the Middle East….based on the common concern with the dangers posed by radical Islamic terrorists who are sweeping the region….and many understand that this is a danger to them….and many certainly begin to view Israel less than the full, or an enemy than a potential ally in this common battle.” Netanyahu then made it clear by saying that “an enemy who says, ‘I want to put down, I want to end hostilities, I want to take a new beginning, make a new start, give a new future for our children and our grandchildren’ – well, that’s somebody that we can make peace with. And I hope that we’ll achieve this.”

Wars generally end with peace agreements in some form or other. Israel’s war with Gaza has caused Hamas to be rejected by Saudi Arabia and much of the Muslim world. Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates and others are looking on with horror as the Islamic State inflames the world with its videos of beheadings, performed by people who threaten to eventually conquer them. All of the elements are there for an Israeli peace agreement with most of its Muslim enemies. The US will probably have very little to do, if anything, with the final agreement. We’ve burnt too many bridges over the last few years to expect to be trusted. Kings and Prime Ministers who don’t want to lose their power or their nations can be expected to agree to a peaceful solution, except for the Islamic State issue. The Islamic State will have to dealt with, but at this point in time it’s unclear how that will occur.

Peace, Then Betrayal

In conclusion, the Bible says (Ezekiel 38:8) that one day Israel will be at “restored from war”, its people dwelling securely. That level of peace, of course, will require a peace agreement. Watch the news over the next few months. Who would have thought that the King of the world’s leading Muslim nation would ever speak kindly of Israel? Well, it’s happened. Peace may not be too far behind.

But, before you sigh, saying peace in the Middle East will be great, read Ezekiel 38-39. Once Israel is at peace, dwelling securely, Gog of Magog (Russia), Persia (Iran) and other nations (now Muslim) will invade Israel to destroy it. Will some Muslim nations break the peace agreement? How long will it be after the peace agreement before the invasion of Israel? We’ll find out. But, the major point of concern is that when the Ezekiel invasion takes place, the Daughter of Babylon/America will betray Israel, refuse to come to its military support….and be destroyed because of its “treachery” against Israel. HAS THE MESSIAH RETURNED?

No, not the Christian Messiah, the Lord Jesus Christ. Not yet. But what about the Mahdi? The Islamic Messiah? On Sunday, June 29, 2014 an announcement was made of truly historic proportion. The Wall Street Journal and Fox covered the news, but it was largely ignored by the MSM. What was announced in Iraq by a spokesman for the leader of ISIS, Abu Bakr a- Baghdadi, may well affect the balance of our days on this planet, that’s how important it was. Okay, enough build-up – what was the news?

On June 29^th, the first day of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, ISIS spokesman Abu Mohammed al-Adnani announced in an Arabic audio file that:

1.       ISIS would no longer be called ISIS, nor ISIL. The new name for the Jihadist terrorist organization is “The Islamic State”.

2.       The new name reflected the fact that The Islamic State now claimed to be a nation, in fact, more than a nation. The announcement proclaimed The Islamic State as of Sunday to be the only legal Muslim state and demanded allegiance from Muslims worldwide. “The legality of all emirates, groups, states and organizations becomes null by the expansion of the caliph’s authority and arrival of its troops to their areas.”

3. The Islamic State announced itself as the new “caliphate”.

What is the “caliphate” you may ask? Simply stated, it’s the rule worldwide of Islam’s future messiah, headed by the Mahdi. About two weeks ago, on June 17, 2014, the leader of Iran, Ayatollah ali Khamenei, predicted that the Islamic messiah, the Mahdi, is soon coming soon to the world. Who is the Mahdi? Muslims say that he is the 12^th Imam, that he was born in 868 AD and went into hiding in a well in 872 AD, where he has been living ever since, just waiting for the right time to emerge and rid the world of “infidels and unbelievers”. The Mahdi is said to be the “Guided One”, “The Lord of the Age” and “The Awaited One”. (Google ‘The Twelve Imams’ to learn more). But, Iran’s leader said that the returning Mahdi would be a Shiite Mahdi and the leader of the new “Islamic State” is Sunni. So, isn’t this really just another argument between Muslims?

Sort of. Recall that the Bible prophesied about the descendants of Ishmael:

“He shall be a wild donkey of a man,
his hand against everyone
and everyone's hand against him,
and he shall dwell over against all his kinsmen.” (Genesis 16:12)

If it only ended with an internecine struggle among Muslims that would be one thing, but prophecy tells us otherwise. Muslims teach that their long awaited Mahdi would be a political and military world leader who will conquer the world for Allah (with a returned Jesus along his side helping the Mahdi to get rid of Christians and Jews). Here’s what author Joel Richardson says about the Mahdi:

“Thus it is fair to say that the ‘rising’ of the Mahdi is to the majority of Muslims what the return of Jesus is to Christians. While   Christians await the return of Jesus the Messiah to fulfill all of God’s prophetic promises to the people of God, Muslims await the appearance of the Mahdi, to fulfill those purposes. Sheikh Kabbani likewise identifies the Mahdi as Islam’s primary messiah figure:

‘Jews are waiting for the messiah, Christians are waiting for Jesus and Muslims are waiting for both the Mahdi and Jesus. All (three) describe them as men coming to save the world’” (Antichrist: Islam’s Awaited Messiah, Joel Richardson, Winepress Publishing)

That being the case, Sunday’s announcement in the Islamic world is similar to, if not directly equivalent, to an announcement in the Christian world that Jesus Christ had returned to rule the world. The Muslim world was rocked by the announcement making the front page in Arab newspapers globally. If some isolated sheik had made such a claim, it could have been widely dismissed. But Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi is no isolated Muslim. He has captured large areas of Iraq in just days, including Mosul, Tikrit and Fallujah, among others. He is arguably one of the most violent blood-thirsty human in authority today, as he beheads and shoots hundreds of those who are in his way. Because these extreme acts of terror are so effective, thousands of Iraqi soldiers have discarded their uniforms and fled, many of them joining Abu Bakr’s growing army. Hundreds of thousands of Christians fled Mosul. He captured a large bank in Iraq stealing 429 million dollars as well as Saddam Hussein’s chemical weapons factory.

As Walid Shoebat wrote yesterday, “This will stun Muslim fundamentalists globally to go in full-throttle that a Caliphate is no longer in sight, it’s become a reality.” In one of the final chapters of my new novel published in April (THE DAY based on the non-fiction THE END OF AMERICA) I imagine the emergence of the Mahdi who threatens the Prime Minister of England with nuclear annihilation if he doesn’t accept Muslim rule. Little could I have known how soon after its publication the “caliphate” would be declared in the Muslim world.

What can we expect to happen next? If you were the King of Saudi Arabia or Jordan you might have recently lost some sleep. The Islamic State released a map of Europe, Africa, western Asia and the Middle East showing their five year goal of conquering huge swaths of land including Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Spain, much of western Asia and all of northern Africa. Abu Bakr has what every military leader wants: momentum, excitement and commitment of the troops, money, assets (captured US military equipment we left behind in Iraq and fervor. New recruits eager to join Abu Bakr are arriving daily from all directions. He has repeatedly promised to conquer Israel and destroy America.

Abu Bakr has declared The Islamic State as the revived “caliphate”, but does that mean that Abu Bakr is the Mahdi? Shoebat says this, “We doubt that Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi will be the ultimate Caliph, but with the Caliphate established now in Iraq, what is expected is more carnage.” But, by declaring the existence of the new “caliphate”, much awaited by the Muslim world, Abu Bakr is in a position to win and win big. The more of the Arab world that he conquers the stronger he will become, maybe strong enough to declare himself as the Mahdi, or at the very least to ability to name the Mahdi. The Bible says that in the last days many Christians will be beheaded (Revelation 20:4). There is now a man in growing power who has shown that he will behead his enemies. These are all further signs that we are truly living in the prophesied last days.

Jesus told us to “watch” and be aware of what is happening. Our Lord was critical of those who knew the signs of the weather (‘red sky at night’), but who “cannot interpret the signs of the times”. (Matthew 16:1-5). In the Old Testament we learn that the Sons of Issachar were “men who had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do” (I Chronicles 12:32). The relevant question for this day and time is: Do we UNDERSTAND what is happening in our times? Are we missing “the signs of our times”? Below are a few of those signs, some more critical than others, but all matters of which we should be aware and which we need to understand.

A.      The President of the Daughter of Babylon’s Use of a Biblically Symbolic Name – Prophecy gives us 30 clues to the identity of Mystery Babylon/the Daughter of Babylon. A major clue is that this prophesied end times nation would be “the hammer of the whole earth” (Jeremiah 50:23). The US certainly fits that role with its 800 plus military bases scattered across the globe and military spending approaching a trillion dollars a year. In the President’s speech at West Point this week he said:

“Just because we have the best hammer does not mean that every problem is a nail.”

The Oxford English Dictionary contains over 171,000 words, many of them nouns. Instead of choosing any one of those words to describe America, the President chose “hammer”, the same word used by Jeremiah. Interesting.

B.      National Celebrity Attacks the Constitution and the Bible, and Declares Victory in the Culture War – Bill Maher is the host of HBO’s Real Time and is a widely-watched political commentator and comedian. This week on his show he aired a news clip of a gay NFL player kissing his male partner. He attacked the NFL player who tweeted a criticism of the televised kiss, but said he had the right to say what he said under the “a__hole section of the Constitution”. Really? The First Amendment is the objectionable part of the US Constitution? In addition to the fact that our free speech rights under the First Amendment allow Maher to spew his objectionable views, we should not forget that religious freedom is included in the First Amendment. We certainly should be wary when such a critical part of the Constitution is attacked on national television – with no objections raised.

Maher further said, “Folks, we had a televised, celebrated inter-racial gay kiss during the NFL draft. The Culture War is over and we won!” (Heavy applause). Maher then criticized the Benham Brothers’ beliefs in support of traditional marriage, applauding HGTV for dropping their proposed TV show. He said, “But if you’re a Christian, you may condemn their homophobia, but they got it out of the same dumb book which you also revere.”

Whew! Did you read that any Christian leader or spokesman, anywhere, stood up and objected to the attack on the Bible, or objected to Maher’s declaration of victory in the Culture War? Is that because in their hearts and minds they know that Maher is right – the Culture War is over and the devil has won? Nineteen states now allow same sex marriage, with more federal judges each month joining the parade. US Senator Orin Hatch, a Mormon, this week said, “Let’s face it: anybody who does not believe that gay marriage is going to be the law of the land just hasn’t been observing what’s going on.” The cover story of TIME magazine last week featured a transvestite man dressed as a woman. The title of the cover article? “THE TRANSGENDER TIPPING POINT – America’s next civil rights frontier.” Any doubt about who won the Culture War?

C.     The US Government Opposes Pro-Israel Groups – A federal judge in DC this week allowed a lawsuit by several Israel groups against the IRS to go forward. The IRS has tried since 2009 to get the suit dismissed, but failed, as it must now respond to the claim that the IRS has discriminated against pro-Israeli groups who submitted tax-exempt status applications. Z Street, the plaintiff, has alleged that any application with the IRS that appeared to be from a group that favored Israel “was sent to a special unit in the DC office” to see if their activities “contradicted the administration’s public policies”. God promises that any nation that curses Israel will be cursed. (Genesis 12:3). We invite His judgment when we harm His chosen people.

D.     Who is This Pope? While we’re on the subject of hurting Israel, did you see the news coverage of Pope Francis’ recent trip to the Middle East? Where did he begin his trip? At a section of a wall near Bethlehem on which was spray painted an attack on Israel comparing it to the Warsaw Ghetto. 33,000 Jews died in the WWII ghetto. No Muslims are dying in Bethlehem, in fact most Christians have been forced out of the town of Jesus’ birth. The Pope placed his hand on the offensive wall and prayed for a “free Palestine”. The Vatican said that the Pope intended to be the “Che Guevera of the Palestinians”. While there the Pope endorsed “the State of Palestine”, which will require Israel to give up much of its God-given land, in spite of the fact that God told Israel not to give up its land.

E.      Iran Calls for Destruction of Israel and America and their Nuclear Weapons – Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said last Sunday that Iran would no longer discuss its nuclear weapons plans and that Iran’s “ideals include destroying America”. The Defense Minister of Iran this week said that instead of discussing how to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, instead the world should agree to rid Israel and America of their nuclear weapons, in what he called a “complete annihilation”.

F.      Where is the Church? – Why are all these things happening? Where is the Church in all this? The Barna Group released a survey of young American adults showing that the percentage who follow Biblically based values for living has now dropped from 65 percent after WWI to 4% today. Since 45% of Americans claim to be born-again Christians one has to wonder why we have not had a significant impact on the nation. II Chronicles 7:14 has never been repealed, and unfortunately nor has it been fulfilled in our lifetime. Franklin Graham in a speech at the Watchmen on the Wall conference in DC last week said, “I have friends who are pastors who say they want to preach the Gospel and not become targets. Well, don’t you think the Lord Jesus Christ was a target? Could we get our heads chopped off? We could, maybe one day. So what? Chop it off.” He further said, “God hates cowards…We have a responsibility to speak on the moral issues. Abortion, homosexuality, these are moral issues…I want you to know it’s a sin against God. This is a sin.”

SIGNS OF OUR TIMES - A time is coming, and coming soon, when a speech like Rev. Graham’s will be a criminal offense. Soon, very soon, anyone who expresses, publicly or privately, their Christian view of marriage and homosexuality will be labeled as a criminal, a bigot, a fool, an ignorant homophobe, a miscreant who must be fired from their pulpit, from their job, from their club, from their neighborhood and excluded from public life. Throwing in with the new Culture Wars victors and agreeing that the “dumb” Bible is wrong may not work for those who turn their back on their prior Christian views. If you ever were pro-life, or ever contributed to a pro-traditional marriage campaign, or ever did or said anything that’s not acceptable to the new thought police, you are likely to be punished no matter what you say now.

Don’t believe it? Ask Brendan Eich who was forced to step down as the CEO of search engine giant Mozilla. What was his crime, his offense? When 52% of California voters approved Prop 8in 2008, affirming traditional marriage as the law in California, Eich pledged $1,000 towards the campaign to support marriage as the world has known it for 6,000 years. That’s it. But, in 2014 he can’t be a CEO of a large company which he helped found because a few years ago he pledged money towards a cause which today is just not acceptable, according to the culture. If that’s true today, what do you think tomorrow will bring?

Can Israel survive the onslaught?

Will America, as a betrayer of God’s chosen people, be destroyed in one day, one hour and one moment? How will Americans who ignored the warnings and didn’t flee survive attacks on US cities? How will preppers fare? What will life be like after The Day for those still alive? What happens to the nations which invaded Israel and to the world after The Day?

WORDS HAVE MEANING & THESE SCARY WORDS REALLY HAVE MEANING!

In the last seven days two of America’s most important elected officials uttered words - important words - chilling words. What are the implications of those words for American Christian and Jewish families from a prophetic viewpoint? The Bible says that before the Daughter of Babylon/Babylon the Great is destroyed (which will happen as a result of its betrayal of an invaded Israel) it will experience widespread violence, strangers in the sanctuaries and blood in the church (Jeremiah 51:38,39,49,51 and Revelation 18:24). The words recently spoken may well point to the soon occurrence of these prophesied events in America. Who spoke the words? The Governor of the State of New York and the President of the United States of America. What were the words?

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo in a radio interview said that members of the GOP with “extreme” views are creating a problem for their party, saying that “their problem isn’t me and the Democrats; their problem is themselves. Who are they? Right to life, pro-assault weapons, anti-gay – if that’s who they are, they have no place in the State of New York, because that’s not who New Yorkers are.” He added that moderate Republicans, though, such as the liberals in the New York State Senate, “have a place in their State”.

President Obama’s words were given on three different occasions last weeks, but were all quite similar in the message he conveyed:

A. The President Tells His Cabinet - On January 14^th the President held a rare meeting with the members of his Cabinet. At the Cabinet meeting the President was heard whistling (Inside Edition reported that the song he was whistling was John Mellencamp’s “Little Pink Houses”. For the lyrics, see below). Once the meeting started he told the leaders of the Executive Branch of the Federal government that, “We’re not just going to be waiting for legislation in order to make sure that we’re providing Americans the kind of help they need. I’ve got a pen and I’ve got a phone. And I can use that pen to sign executive orders and take executive actions and administrative actions that move the ball forward….”

B. The President Tells His Party Leaders – The next day, January 15^th, the President met with United States Senators from his party at the White House. No official statement was released, but the Associated Press reported that: “The White House says Obama wants to work with Congress to make progress, but will also act on his own to get things done.” The wire service story also noted that: “The Senators left the White House without speaking to reporters.” (Can you recall ever seeing a US Senator ignore a microphone?)

C. The President Tells the American People – On Saturday, January 18^th, the President gave his weekly short radio message. In his address carried across the nation, the President said: “Where Congress isn’t acting, I’ll act on my own to put opportunity within reach for anyone who’s willing to work for it.”

Anyone who has spent any time in government and the political arena knows that words spoken by public officials, especially Presidents and Governors, are carefully scripted before they are uttered. Frequently, the words are tested with focus groups and are certainly cleared in advance by the public official’s staff and appointees. This is all by way of saying that the words spoken by Governor Cuomo and President Obama were carefully selected to accomplish a purpose. What were the purposes of their words? Time, of course, and eventual leaks, will confirm their true, underlying reason, but at this early stage, we can legitimately speculate.

Since no American President has ever been heard whistling a song at a Cabinet meeting, it might be helpful to read the lyrics of the song he was whistling. Here they are as written by John Mellencamp:

You can come to your own conclusion as to why the President chose this song, of the many thousands available, to whistle in front of the US Cabinet. This occurred in a week in which the President said a magazine interview that his falling popularity was due to his race, not his policies.

The United States Constitution is quite specific on the question of which part of the Federal government is to adopt the laws under which Americans live:

ARTICLE I - SECTION 1.

All legislative powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives.

But, last week, the President informed his Cabinet, United States Senators and the American public that he will assume the power to legislate, even though the Constitution provides that “ALL LEGISLATIVE POWERS….SHALL BE VESTED IN A CONGRESS.” “Where Congress isn’t acting” the President says, “I will act on my own.” Whew. How do you spell usurpation of power? How do you define autocratic rule? What is a tyrannical ruler, if not one who “acts on his own” when his legislative body doesn’t do what he wants? The President’s words, delivered on three occasions to differing audiences, can only be seen as a clear and distinct message, maybe even a warning. For the last two years multiple bloggers have speculated that the Executive Orders which have been signed by President Obama were aimed at the purpose of ultimately supporting the declaration of martial law, if violence should break out in America. What additional executive orders, executive actions and administrative actions does the President plan in the days ahead? It’s certainly no secret that millions of Americans are fed up with Washington, DC. Some are planning a massive march on Washington this spring, one group even threatening to arrest US leaders. Can violence be far behind?

What does Governor Cuomo have in mind in the days ahead for New Yorkers who are “pro-life, pro assault weapon, anti-gay”, whom the Governor has decided should no longer live in New York? He says people who think like this “have no place in the state of New York”. Really? So what does he plan to do about the citizens of his state whom he does not favor? Any resident of New York who believes in the sanctity of human life, the Second Amendment or traditional marriage should be concerned. Not just a little concerned, but greatly concerned. Well before Adolph Hitler began to shove Germans into death camps and killing ovens, he used words to tell Germans that there were certain Germans who were not acceptable in Germany, they had no place in Germany. Over time, and eventually, five hundred thousand Jewish residents of Germany took Hitler at his word, they believed he would act on his words, and they fled Germany. They lived, and their descendants lived, as a result.

Words have meaning and they have power. Even the power to kill. This week is historic. After five years of no talks, Israel is now sitting down at a table to discuss giving up some of its (God-given) land in exchange for an illusory “peace”. Why is this important prophetically? In THE END OF AMERICA I noted that Israel will enter into a peace agreement, which will then be breached when Russia, Libya and other named Muslim nations invade Israel, when it is at “peace”. God tells us that Israel will be “a land that has recovered from war” (Ezekiel 38:8), that Israel will be inhabited by “a peaceful and unsuspecting people” (38:11) and that Israel’s people will be “living in safety” (38:14). That doesn’t describe Israel today, but it will when Israel falls for a false “peace” deal.

It is the betrayal of Israel by America when the Ezekiel invasion takes place that scripture says will lead directly to the destruction of the US. Thus, the timing of Israel entering into a “peace” treaty is critical as one makes plans for fleeing a nation that is punished to the utmost for cursing Israel (Genesis 12:3 - “I will curse those who curse Israel”). A reader said to me recently, “when I see Israel entering into a peace agreement, I’ll start packing.” Watch the news from Washington with an eye on your Samsonite luggage.

God warned Israel against leaning on other nations, instead of on Him, for their security (Exodus 23:32). The above verses, however, confirm that Israel will not only violate God’s warning against entering into “peace” treaties, but He also warns Israel against giving up any of the land that he gave to Israel, a fact that He brings up often. (Joshua 23:15; II Chron. 7:20; Judges 1:2; Jeremiah 25:5; Amos 9:15). How does God look upon the international effort currently growing to force Israel to give up His land? He says He will enter into judgment against the nations of the world because “they divided up my land.” (Joel 3:2).

Israel and certain Palestinian officials are meeting this week in Washington, DC. The US State Department is conducting the negotiations. News leaks in advance of these talks may prove to show that “the fix is in”:

White House Pushes Israel to Abandon the  Temple Mount – Believe it or not, the President is pushing Israel to forfeit the Temple Mount (WND, 7/21/13). What? The Temple Mount? What would Israel get? They would have to move 90 of the inhabitants of Jewish communities in the West Bank and would “retain the land below the Western Wall”, a small area next to the basement wall of the Temple Mount. Unbelievable.

Israel Caves in and Releases 104 Terrorist Prisoners – The Israeli Cabinet voted last Sunday to release 104 convicted Palestinian terrorists (Jerusalem Post). Why? Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas demanded “a big concession” before the “peace” talks. This appears to be the response. Unbelievable.

Israel States it Will Give Up 86% of the West Bank – Last Friday Israel’s Deputy Foreign Minister let it be known that Israel is willing to give up 86% of the West Bank as part of “two state solution” (UK Telegraph). Prime Minister Netanyahu agreed that Israel would make “serious territorial concessions”. Unbelievable.

What will happen? The “peace” talks will be contentious and heated, but the world be shocked when the parties, under White House pressure, will eventually announce that they have agreed to enter into a written peace agreement. In the past the parties almost arrived at a peace agreement more than once, but in almost every instance what killed the deal was that the Palestinians refused at the last to the terms. That appears not now to be the case, as Palestinian officials are hinting that they will now agree to a deal with Israel. Also, it now looks like Israel will agree to almost any terms as long as the people across the table agree to “Israel’s right to exist”. PM Netanyahu announced in late 2010 that there would be a peace treaty. These talks sure look like the build-up to such an outcome. Peace in our times.

For Christians and Jewish readers who are paying attention, it will soon be obvious that the stage is being set for: a.) Israel to think it’s at peace, b.) Israel will eventually be invaded by its enemies, in spite of the “peace” treaty, c.) America will betray Israel by not coming to its military defense when it’s invaded, and d.) America will be cursed (and thus destroyed) because it curses Israel when Israel is invaded. Chapter 13 of THE END OF AMERICA spells out God’s ten warnings to flee the Daughter of Babylon/America. We ignore God’s warnings at our own peril.

None of this is any surprise to the Lord. He foresaw it all and warned us about it. Watch the news from the “peace talks” to see God in action. God bless.

SEVEN COMPELLING REASONS

TO MOVE FROM AMERICA

If you’re looking for reasons to be hopeful that America will turn around and things will get better, this is not the right article to read. If you’re looking for happy-clappy talk about a better election result in 2014 or 2016, stop now. This is a brief analysis of America as it is. As it actually is. Not what it used to be. It provides seven reasons why you should give very serious consideration to moving from the homeland. Not out of fear, but from a reasoned analysis of the facts and by looking at what the Holy Scriptures tell us will happen in the days ahead.

1.      God Says to Do It

Any article on this subject must prioritize the most important reason for fleeing one’s nation. In the Bible God states seven times to Christians and three times to Jewish residents that they should “flee” from a rich, influential and powerful end times nation as it faces destruction. Five prophets wrote 223 verses in the Old and New Testament describing the Daughter of Babylon a/k/a Babylon the Great. The Bible provides us with thirty clues as to the identity of “Mystery Babylon”. Any honest reading of those clues reveals that they can in all fairness only apply to the United States. Increasing numbers of students of the Bible are concluding that America is described and pictured in these verses. When God says something as crystal clear as the following verses and repeats it ten times (using the word ‘flee’ four times and ‘run’ three times), we need to pay attention:

“Flee from Babylon! Run for your lives! Do not be destroyed because of her sins. It is time for the Lord’s vengeance; he will pay her what she deserves.” (Jeremiah 51:6-NIV)

“Then I heard another voice from heaven say: ‘Come out of her, my people, so that you will not share in her sins, so you will not receive any of her plagues.” (Revelation 18:4-NIV)

The decision to move from one’s country is too important to be made based only on a six page article. 2. The Culture War is Over, We Fought Hard and We Lost

The election of 2012 was unlike any other in American history. Three states vote for same sex marriage (the first time any state voted to do so), the voters also legalized illegal drug use and refused to stop the use of taxpayer funds to pay for abortions in Florida. Predominately, of course, Americans voted to re-hire the strongest pro-abortion President in history, who endorsed same sex marriage, but with one of the weakest job performances ever on the economy. So, some may say, we’ll do better next time. Next time? Check out this quote from the President’s chief advisor inside the White House.

“After we win this election, it’s our turn.  Payback time.  Everyone not with us is against us and they better be ready because we don’t forget. The ones who helped us will be rewarded, the ones who opposed us will get what they deserve. There is going to be hell to pay.  Congress won’t be a problem for us this time. No election to worry about after this is over and we have two judges ready to go.”

What is the relevancy of Valerie Jarrett’s words? In the first term the President and his staff virtually ignored the Congress, whom they see as a nuisance. Congress has shown that it is more than willing to be ignored by the White House, with no notable new legislation adopted and three years without even a budget adopted. Now that the President won’t have to ever face the voters again, the President is making it clear that he will regularly end-run Congress. Government by executive order from the President is not exactly what the founders had in mind when they launched this ‘noble experiment’. He has telegraphed that he will not be bothered by any branch of government which is not in agreement with his plans to “fundamentally transform” America.

What did the President’s chief advisor mean when she said that the Administration has “two judges to go?” We learned in the Supreme Court’s vote on Obamacare (which federalizes one sixth of the US economy) that the Chief Justice (who voted to conclude that Obamacare was Constitutional) can’t be counted on to oppose even the most extreme proposals that come out of the White House. If the Court is 5-4 now against a sane America, what will it be when “two judges” join the Court, sitting alongside Justices Sotomayor and Kagan, the President’s two appointees. One conservative website recently said, “Our only hope…is that the Supreme Court will quickly move to reject the President’s decrees (regarding gun control).” That kind of rose glasses thinking is unrealistic. If the Court was willing to swallow Obamacare, it will agree to almost any abomination, Constitutional or not.

Let’s be candid. When the Republicans controlled the White House, the US Senate and the US House, what did these men and women do to stop abortion in America? What did they do on any social issue? If America’s cultural decline wasn’t arrested, or even slowed, under the control of the pro-family political party, what will happen to it under a White House and a Senate completely committed to abortion, same sex marriage, drug legalization, etc.? This President will do exactly what he said he would do, that is, fundamentally transform America. Most Americans would shout with joy about that promise, if he meant that he would lead America back to moral and spiritual greatness. But, alas, we all know what he meant and what he will do. The second term will just be an acceleration of what came to pass in his first term. In the President’s Inaugural Address on January 21, 2013 he made it clear where he is heading in his second term. He said that “our journey is not complete until our gay brothers and sisters are treated like anyone else under the law.” Really? In what way are gays not treated equally under the law? Except in his view, the right to marry, which the Supreme Court is poised to impose by fiat. He compared the 1969 homosexual riots at the Stonewall Inn in NY to the 1848 Seneca Falls women’s’ rights convention and the 1965 civil rights marches at Selma, Alabama. Most chilling was his threat that “we cannot treat name-calling as reasoned debate.” Seriously? This from a former Constitutional law professor? So, some words will not be allowed in public debate, as hate speech, if they are considered as “name-calling”? Jesus said that the last days would be like the days of Lot. These Presidential words confirm how far along we have fallen from Biblical standards.

If you have been or still are a soldier fighting in the trenches of the moral and cultural war, I don’t mean to discourage you. But, reality dictates that any soldier be cognizant of the status of the battle. These battles and this war will not now be won. Name an empire that came back to greatness once it collapsed. Only Israel, God’s chosen people, of all of the nations of the world has come back, no thanks to the world, which hates Israel. So, one may ask, if the war is over, what should I do now? Pray for wisdom and sincerely ask the Lord if He is ready to use you in a different way in a different part of the world. If you’re a Christian, read Jeremiah 50:8 and 16; 51:6, 9, 45 and 50; Revelation 18:4. If you’re Jewish, read Jeremiah 50:5; Zechariah 2:7 and Isaiah 48:20. In the Bible God records the many times that he moved His people to other areas of the world, to advance His plan and the spreading of the Gospel. Flee!!

3. Trouble is Coming to Your Church

If you have read much of the Bible you know that one of God’s principles stated in His Word is that judgment begins in the house of God, i.e., the church. (I Peter 4:17) Prophecies that tell us that shame will cover the faces of God’s people because “strangers” will come into God’s sanctuaries (Jeremiah 51:51), before its ultimate destruction. In other nations, pastors have been charged with hate crimes because they preached sermons based on the Biblical view of traditional marriage. A pastor in Sweden was convicted, though an appeals court said a European higher court might overturn his conviction, but the Court let stand on the record his conviction of a hate crime. Just for preaching the Bible. Don’t be at all surprised if your pastor is arrested if he preaches the Word of God, when supporters of same sex marriage don’t like his words and seek his arrest. The pastor who was to give a prayer at the Inauguration was removed from the agenda when it was revealed that he had given a Bible-based sermon on this issue, twenty years ago. The pastor who replaced him asked for God’s blessing so “we can see that we are created in your image….whether gay or straight”. This most important and official national ceremony thus had the trappings of a gay rights rally.

Will discussing what the Bible says lead to increasing persecution not only of pastors, but of their church members who support their non PC message? Remember the President said, “name calling” cannot be treated as “reasoned debate”. Why does God warn us that “strangers” will be entering our sanctuaries? God allowed His Jewish people to be arrested, incarcerated and many killed in Europe in the last century. Do we, as Christians, have a higher standing with God than the Jewish people? How could we make such a claim? When Christians are killed every day in various parts of the world, how can we truly believe that it can’t happen here in America? Revelation 17:6 tells us that in the end times the nation that is Mystery Babylon will witness the shedding of the blood of the saints. Flee!!

4. Trouble is Coming to Your Community

Jeremiah says that there will be “violence in the land” of Mystery Babylon (Jeremiah 51:46). The Prophet also says that the “land shall tremble and sorrow” and the residents of the nation will “roar like lions and growl like lions cubs” (Jeremiah 51:29 and 38).

These prophecies should be seen in the current environment in America. Millions are unemployed, the dollar is sinking in value and discontent with government is at an all-time high. In spite of official government statistics, some economists have concluded that the actual unemployment rate is 23 percent. If the prophesied violence in the land becomes widespread, it could affect every community across the land. Some people in authority at the Department of Homeland Security must think there is a potential for violence in the land. The Department has ordered over 1.4 billion rounds of hollow point bullets. How could there be any justifiable need for so many rounds of ammunition? We live in perilous times. Flee!!

5. Don’t Participate in America’s Sins

God warns us in His Word:

“Flee from Babylon! Run for your lives! Do not be destroyed because of her sins.” (Jeremiah 51:6)

“Then I heard another voice from heaven say: ‘Come out of her my people, so that you will not share in her sins, so that you will not receive any of her plagues.” (Revelation 18:14)

You probably don’t participate in performing abortions. You probably haven’t married a person of the same gender. You likely don’t use illegal drugs or view pornography. But, do you pay state and federal taxes that pay, directly or indirectly, for these abominations? Are you really comfortable with lying down to sleep each night, knowing that your money is used to help kill infants in the wombs? When you come before the throne someday, how will you answer the question, “Why did you stay in a nation that killed 56 million of my created human beings, in the womb? Why did you pay taxes to a government that used your money not only to pay Planned Parenthood to abort, but also to coerce other nations to change their laws to allow abortion?

Would you stay in a church that advocated abortion, married people of the same sex in the church and made illegal drugs and pornography available in the church? Of course not. So, why are you staying in a nation that is the leader of the world in promoting and distributing all of these sins? Before moving on to the next point, think again about the spiritual implications of “sharing in the sins” of the land in which you live. Flee!!

6. When America Curses Israel It Will Be Cursed

Genesis 12:3 promises that those who bless Israel will be blessed and, likewise, that those who curse Israel will be cursed. History confirms that God has always kept this promise. It is quite well known that America’s President has open disdain for Israel and its leadership. He has made it abundantly clear that this nation will continue to push Israel to give up part of its land (contrary to God’s prohibition against doing so) and force Israel into a “peace treaty” with its sworn enemies (contrary to God’s admonition to Israel not to do so).

Detailed in THE END OF AMERICA are the many prophetic verses which foretell that a rich, powerful and influential end times nation with an agreement to defend Israel, will instead betray Israel, and will be destroyed because of it. God’s 30 clues to the identity of this nation fit America like a glove. Do you really want to be located physically in any nation that betrays God’s chosen people? Flee!!

7. The Lord Can Use You to Reach People Who Will Respond to the Gospel

Has America been inoculated against the Gospel? Do you detect any real movement of God the Holy Spirit? Anxious to see God at work? Move to a foreign country that’s not inoculated against the Gospel and see Him at work. Americans who have moved to our area of Central America are witnessing God at work. Peoples’ lives are being changed. Miraculous acts have occurred. A new church that was just formed in our town already has overflow crowds. Read in the Bible how often God moved folks out of their comfort zones to other parts of the world and blessed them as they acted in obedience. You don’t have to be sent by a missionary board in order to become involved in ministries to help reach the world, one person at a time. Want to be excited again in your faith? Flex your faith muscles in a new land. You’ll never have a boring day.

WHY DID HE WIN?

It’s inevitable after an election loss. Blame and fault are widely cast. The pundits blame Romney’s message. Some say Americans were fooled into casting their votes for the incumbent. Republicans didn’t appeal to women, Hispanics or the young, they say.  But, really, why did the President get re-elected?

Regarding who selects our leaders, God revealed the following to Daniel:

Praise be to the name of God for ever and ever;

wisdom and power are his.

He changes times and seasons;

he deposes kings and raises up others.

He gives wisdom to the wise

and knowledge to the discerning.

He reveals deep and hidden things;

he knows what lies in darkness,

and light dwells with him. (Daniel 2:20-22)

Thus, we know that God selected the President for a second term. Why, one might ask? See the prior post on this subject: THE PERFECT PRESIDENT. The President was raised as a youngster in a Muslim school, mentored as a teen by a Marxist member of the American Communist Party and purportedly fathered by a Kenyan whose family was active in opposing British rule. He voted several times against bills that would have prohibited partial birth abortion in the Illinois Senate. He announced his support for same sex marriage before the election. He has ridiculed and treated with disdain the elected leader of Israel. His administration has denied the right of religious belief to Catholic institutions. He thus qualifies as a Perfect President to be used by God as His instrument of judgment on a country the majority of which apparently believe the same things.

Any thinking Christian should have seen the above listed facts as dis-qualifiers for re-election. But, according to the numbers now coming in from Tuesday’s election, 26% of the total vote cast for the President came from evangelical Christians (over 6 million voters). Read that sentence again. Millions of Christian Americans knew their President was radically pro-abortion and pro-same sex marriage, with a thinly veiled hatred of Israel, and they still walked in the voting booth and cast their personal votes in favor of the proponent of these anti-Biblical positions. God help us.

The underlying theme of THE END OF AMERICA (available on Amazon in softback and on Kindle for 99 cents) is that God revealed to us in His Word the identity of Mystery Babylon, a/k/a as the Daughter of Babylon and Babylon the Great, in the 223 verses in the Old and New Testament written by five Prophets. He gave us thirty separate clues, each directly pointing to the United States of America. Since the book’s publication I’ve heard from many Christians who say that they had previously concluded from praying and reading scripture that America is the Daughter of Babylon. For those who may have doubts, I would simply ask them to read the thirty clues and render an opinion as to which other nation of the world these prophecies could possibly apply.

The prophecies also include nine different warnings to Christians and Jewish residents to flee, run, get out of the Daughter of Babylon before its destruction caused by its betrayal of Israel. That concept, leaving one’s own beloved country, is not an easy plan to embrace. We are all creatures of habit. We love our country, family, neighbors and friends. The election on Tuesday, though, has put this decision into a new light. Look at the decision to flee like this:

Suppose you belonged to a solid, Bible-believing and gospel proclaiming church which you dearly loved, but you moved and you were gone from the church for several years. Then, things changed and you returned and began to attend the same church again. But, you soon realize that the church, though it has the same name and building, is not the same church. The Bible is hardly ever mentioned, as sermons focus on self-worth and personal esteem. The members now refuse to share the gospel, saying, if asked, that they don’t want to offend anyone. The board of deacons is made up of men and women some of whom are engaged in quite obvious illicit relationships. The church’s male music director, it is widely known in the church, was married the prior year to a man in Massachusetts. The board of trustees just voted to contribute church funds to abortion providing organizations.

Question. Coming back and learning all of these facts about your previously beloved church, would you have any hesitancy in leaving it? Just because the church used to be a center for God’s work was no guarantee that it couldn’t change, so leaving it should be an easy decision. Right? What’s the relevancy? America, much like the church example above, has drastically changed. It’s not your father’s country, nor your grandfather’s, nor, for that matter, yours. Michael Dougherty’s blog helped explain how the country has recently changed. Two and a half million Americans die every year. Therefore, since the last Presidential election in 2008 about ten million Americans have passed on. Based on voting stats, a majority would have been Republican voters and culturally conservative. Between 2008 and 2012 over 16 million Americans came of voting age.   Younger voters today (these are the voters who heavily favored the re-election of the President) are not as culturally conservative. A majority favor the President’s position on social issues.

As troubling as was the re-election of the Perfect President, we should be similarly concerned about what American voters said with their votes on drug use, same sex marriage and abortion. Maine, Washington and Maryland all voted to legalize same sex marriage. These votes were historic. In 31 prior votes on the subject in each state the voters said no to same sex marriage. Not in 2012. These three states were the first to adopt same sex marriage by the vote of the residents, not by judicial fiat.

Colorado and Washington approved ballot initiatives to legalize marijuana for recreational purposes. Some states had earlier approved it for medicinal purposes. Florida voters rejected a proposed ban on the use of public funds for abortion. Two candidates for the US Senate lost badly (though earlier in the lead) because they stood up for life in the womb. The ‘October Surprise’ was Super Storm Sandy which many commentators noted changed the outcome of the election. See Daniel 2 quote above. God raises up and He takes down. The mystery is how He allows earthlings to have free will, but always under His over-arching control, for His purposes.

It’s been said that elections are “snapshots” of a nation at that point in time. If true, what does the picture taken of America on Tuesday tell us about America in 2012? Unfortunately, it’s not a pretty picture. Same sex marriage, legalized drug use, no restrictions on funds for abortion. A re-elected President who openly dislikes Israel and its leadership. At the same time, the blood of seventy million slain Americans has to be accounted for. As I finish this post today the newscast from Jerusalem reports that Israelis now “fear” that in the President’s second term Israel will receive even worse treatment than in the past. The reporter quoted sources as saying that ‘they expect to see their leader on the luncheon menu next January at the American Inauguration’.

As in the church example above, has your nation changed to the extent that it’s time to move on, to “change churches”, so to speak? Is it time to begin a new ministry in a nation in which the residents are actually interested in the gospel and in pursuing His Word? Do you even recognize your country anymore? In September we looked at the THE PERFECT PRESIDENT. The thesis of the post was that we currently have a President who is Marxist, Muslim and anti-colonial (a/k/a Anti-American) by background, training and family relations. Only God could have brought to the most important office in the world such a man with such a dangerous background. As the “Perfect Storm” off the coast of Maine in 1991 was an unusual combination of three storm systems, the post suggested that the incumbent President was also an unprecedented combination in a President. Our sovereign God has carefully confirmed to us in His Word that He raises up and He takes down the rulers of every earthly nation and kingdom. The post suggested that the incumbent is the Perfect President to accomplish was God may have planned for the nation that has turned its back on Him. If so, no one could defeat His plan and His chosen candidate.

Until recently, it appeared that the Ruler of the Universe was allowing Governor Romney to develop a lead in the 2012 race for the White House. Many were relieved as they concluded that the incumbent President would be turned out of office on November 6^th, and thus not be in a position to betray Israel, which would lead to America’s destruction under the principle of Genesis 12:3 (God promises to curse those who curse Israel). Then along came Sandy. America was again hit by three storms at once. A hurricane, a cyclone and an arctic blast all arranged to hit the US at the same time and over several hundred miles. Described as a Super Storm, Frankenstorm, MegaStorm, etc., it was widely seen as the worst storm to hit the US in decades, maybe ever, causing over $20 Billion in damages, cutting power to over eight million people and resulting in dozens of deaths. The New York Stock Exchange and the federal government were both closed due to the weather. The event has been well covered, as one of the year’s (decade’s?) (century’s?) most important news stories. What is just now emerging, but which may likely become the most important story to emerge from Sandy, is how it will affect next Tuesday’s elections.

As the Mayor of Chicago once observed, people in power should never let a good crisis go to waste.  Thus, a critical view of Sandy would be to ask how the candidates will spin the effects of Sandy in the election and in the various States? How might God allow Sandy to be used to determine the occupant of the Oval Office?

SCENERIO I – DELAYED ELECTION

FEMA’s Director let it be known that FEMA has looked into the question of delaying an election.

“A 2004 Congressional Research Service report on the possibility of delaying the election (at the time, the concern was a terrorist attack) concluded that “there is also no federal law which currently provides express authority to ‘postpone’ an election, although the potential operation of federal statutes regarding vacancies and the consequences of a State’s failure to select on the prescribed election day … might allow the States to hold subsequent elections in “exigent” circumstances.” (Washington Post, October 30, 2012)

Fox’s token Democrat, Bob Beckel, asked on air the same day how the US could hold an election if it meant that “some people couldn’t vote” due to power outages and the inability to use electronic voting machines. It wouldn’t take a very active imagination to envision a scenario in which the President would issue an Executive Order (it would be only one of 139 already issued on various topics) in which the Presidential Election is temporarily delayed, until, that is, all of the States certify that all of the polls are back up and ready to operate.

All manner of electoral mischief could happen during the interim, before the election is finally held (assuming that the election is actually held). People are willing to accept many things in a crisis. Dancing with the Stars announced Tuesday that due to the storm, no dancers would be thrown off the show next week, election week/Sandy recovery week. No protests appeared to have occurred upon this announcement from a television show in which tens of millions regularly vote.

SCENERIO II – “HOW MANY VOTES DO WE NEED?”

Since elections are generally run by the States, the powers that be may decide to go ahead with the election for those States who want to proceed (those not much affected, if at all, by the storm), and suggest that the States affected by Sandy extend their period for voting by, say, two more weeks. If that were to occur, two thirds, or so, of the States would vote, with the results well known and widely reported.

The result would be that both candidates would know how many electoral votes are still in play and are still needed to win, which would translate into how many more votes are needed in the required States to win those States. Voters in, say Pennsylvania, would know, because they would be repetitively told, that if they come out now and vote THEY can decide the next President. Any urban ward heeler knows that the key number is always, “how many more votes do we need to win”.   Talk about media pressure, buying votes and wall-to-wall television ads! If the election came down to just 1-5 States in play, and two weeks to make it happen, all manner of electoral evil would break out. We might actually need the UN election observers (blog humor, sorry).

SCENERIO III – THE ELECTION IS CANCELLED

Though less likely, it is conceivable that the election could be cancelled, either by Executive Order, a FEMA Order or by a friendly federal judge who issues a wide-ranging Order, based on “the emergency” and “exigent circumstances”. Without question such an Order would lead to massive protests. Millions of Americans would rebel at being told that their right to vote had been suspended. Riots and bloodshed could follow.

But, though unlikely, it’s not an impossibility, for at least two reasons:

A. Prophecy – The verses describing the “Daughter of Babylon” tell us that there will arise within that great and powerful end times nation, before its demise, widespread unrest, described as “lion cubs growling” and “ruler against ruler”.

B. Marxist/Muslim Doctrine – Marxism teaches as a key tenet that one never, ever, gives up power once it is obtained. Saul Alinsky, likewise, advocated to seize power “for the people” and not let it go. Muslims teach that Allah wants his followers to “conquer the entire world for Allah”. A man raised as a Muslim and mentored by a Marxist must have learned that giving up power once obtained is not an option.

Would such a move split the country? Undoubtedly, but power would still be retained by the incumbent.

SCENERIO IV – WHO RUNS THE ELECTORAL COLLEGE?

A final scenario arising from the timing of Sandy, arriving just before the most important Presidential election in decades, is that many small changes may have been or will be made by the super storm, that will tip the electoral college either way. A voter here, several there, some machines flooded, some election workers who can’t now work, endorsements that now get forgotten, etc. It doesn’t take much to change an election outcome in a close State. Sandy may have or will change enough voters and their  votes in enough States to change the final vote in the electoral college, and determine the outcome. God, after all, is in control of America’s electoral college. If He wasn’t, He wouldn’t be sovereign.

Conclusion

If we learn next week that His will includes choices we would not have made, that will not change the fact that He rules over the affairs of man on this earth. God bless.

“The Most High is sovereign over all kingdoms on earth and gives them to anyone he wishes and sets over them the lowliest of people.” (Daniel 4:17)

Over the last three plus years many Christians, this writer included, have expressed increasing levels of frustration, even anger, over the actions of the incumbent President of the United States. ‘Why does he do what he does?’ ‘How did he get elected in the first place?’ Political discontent, of course, started early in man’s history. Recall how the Israelites murmured against Moses, who had just led them out of slavery in Egypt. Murmuring against our leaders is apparently ingrained in our nature. However, it’s accurate to say that current levels of angst over the occupant of the White House are at a fever pitch, particularly among Christians. The purpose of this post is to attempt to look at the leader of our nation, as God Almighty may Himself view him. You may be surprised at the conclusions reached.

I. Who Picks Our Leaders?

We live in a representative republic. Thus, we get to pick our leaders. Right? Is that how it works? See Daniel 4:17, above. Let’s ask it this way. Can a nation avoid God’s sovereignty over it by how the method it chooses to elect/pick/select those who have earthly power over them? Well, apparently, though God allows us some permissive will in life, say, in how we cast our votes, He retains the sovereign right to select who rules over the affairs of man. As humans, and Americans, we tend to chafe over that concept. We get to choose, don’t we? Re-read Daniel 4:17, above. Who decides the weather on Election Day? Who decides who stays in the race for office, or who even announces or who withdraws? Who decides which voters show up? We flatter ourselves to think that we decide who rules over us. As damaging as it is to our egos, and our civic pride, God Almighty is still….well…. God Almighty, and He rules over the affairs of man. Does that mean we shouldn’t vote? Of course not. As long as He has allowed us such a sacred right, we should utilize it. All the while knowing that God controls the outcome, just as He controlled the casting of the lot, another selection device that He authorized, and controlled.

OK. So God picks our leaders. Why did He pick this leader? This is a question many have asked themselves, particularly Christians who know that God reigns over the affairs of mankind. What’s God doing? Has He provided us clues?

II. The Perfect Storm

This analysis of God’s selection of the incumbent President of the United States of America follows the meteorological phenomenon known as “The Perfect Storm”. In 1991 three weather events came together in the north Atlantic off the coast of New England. A small cyclone-like warm air flow from a low pressure zone came down from Atlantic Canada; a cool and dry mass of air came from a different direction from a high pressure zone; and a third weather system was thrown into the mix, as moist tropical air from Hurricane Grace collided with the other two systems. The result was not only labeled as the Perfect Storm, the National Weather Service called it the “storm of the century”. Thirteen died, over two hundred million dollars of property was destroyed and records were broken. One buoy measured waves at 100.7 feet, the highest ever recorded in that area. A book, and then a movie (The Perfect Storm), soon followed.

William Koenig’s book, Eye to Eye – Facing the Consequences of Dividing Israel, noted that President George H.W. Bush (41) was in Madrid at the very time of the storm giving a history-making speech. He was the first U.S. President to officially and publicly call for Israel to give up some its land in order to obtain “peace”, contrary to scripture, in which Israel is admonished not to give up the land which God gave to Israel. Within just hours of President Bush’s call on Israel to engage in “territorial compromise” the Perfect Storm hit Kennebunkport, Maine, the site of the Bush family compound with three story waves covering the Bush three story home, according to the New York Times (November 1, 1991). Koenig asked if God created this Perfect Storm to send a perfect message.

Just as the Perfect Storm included three weather systems that would not normally ever come together, the incumbent President has within his background, training and beliefs three political belief systems. None of these three political belief systems would normally be held by a President of the United States. So, finding all three belief systems combined in one man, especially the leader of the free world, might seem to be impossible. But, the incumbent President, like the Perfect Storm, is the Perfect President.

III. Political Belief System Part One – Muslim Training

Barry Soetoro (a/k/a Barack H. Obama) was a student for the early years of his life at schools in Indonesia. He was registered at the schools as a “Muslim” with “Indonesian” citizenship. He studied Islam daily; read and recited the Quran; learned Arabic and studied the laws of Islam. In Dreams from My Father, the President acknowledged studying the Quran, describing his school in Indonesia as “a Muslim school”. He wrote, “In the Muslim school, the teacher wrote to tell mother I made faces during Quaranic studies.” The principal of the school, Tine Hahiyary, recalls the young Soetoro “studying the Quran in Arabic”. One of his classmates, Rony Amir, described him as “previously quite religious in Islam.”

All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten by Robert Fulgham emphasized the importance of what we learn as young people. Numerous studies have confirmed that how we view life is largely determined by how our ‘soft disc drive brains’ are programmed in our first years of existence. Needless to say, no prior President of the United States ever attended a Muslim school, nor learned the Quran nor studied Arabic. What are the chances that a US President would have a Muslim background?

IV. Political Belief System Part Two – Marxist Training

As a teen ager the incumbent President, who had moved to Hawaii with his mother, spent much of his free time with Frank Marshall Davis. Who was Frank Marshall Davis? He was a registered member of the Communist Party USA (CP#47544), listed by the FBI in its 600 plus page file listing Davis on its Security Index, as a potential threat to the US. Before being moved to Hawaii by the Communist Party to organize labor unions to overthrow the government of the new State, Davis had previously been the editor for Communist newspapers in Chicago. The influence of Davis on his young student is documented by Dr. Paul Kengor in The Communist – Frank Marshall Davis: the Untold Story of Barack Obama’s Mentor.

Dr. Kengor suggests that there may be reasons to believe that Davis was the biological father of the President. For those interested in further pursuing that issue, they may choose to view the documentary, Dreams from My Real Father, by Joel Gilbert (Highway 61 Entertainment Production). Gilbert documents the relationship that developed between the President’s mother Stanley Ann Dunham and Davis. He argues that a major reason that the President spent so much time with Davis was because Davis was not only Obama’s mentor, but raised the future President in his free time, as his father. Whether one believes that Davis was the President’s biological father is not essential, as his Marxist mentorship of the President is the important issue. (Though this conclusion does explain Obama’s refusal to release a birth certificate, not to hide the location of his birth, which was apparently in the US, but the identity of his real father.) The President wrote in his autobiography that when he left Hawaii to enroll at Occidental College in California, he first sought out “Marxist professors”. Apart from his mentorship by one of America’s leading Communist ideologues, why would this young student have sought out Marxist professors?

V. Political Belief System Part Three – Anti-Colonialist Training

The President’s grandfather arranged that an African student would marry his daughter, Stanley Ann Dunham. The student, Barack Hussein Obama, was brought to Hawaii under a program known as Airlift Africa, sponsored by the CIA, to train young African leaders in the ways of the west. Gilbert’s documentary includes a picture of the President’s grandfather and Obama at the CIA welcoming ceremony when he arrived at Hickam Air Base. Though Obama was already married, he was persuaded to agree to marry Dunham’s daughter. Soon after, he was admitted to a graduate program at Harvard and was divorced from his American wife to whom he was married for such a short time.

In the President’s Dreams from My Father he writes extensively about his ‘sheep-herder Kenyan father’, whom he only met once. But, he frequently mentions in his book the importance in his early life of “Frank”, though he never uses “Frank’s” last name, nor does he identify who “Frank” actually was. What he does do is talk about his two later trips to Kenya to get in touch with his roots. What the President has done in his book, and in his frequent speeches about his Kenyan father, is link himself to the “dreams” of his purported African father. What are those “dreams”? Author Dinesh D’Souza, in his documentary 2016, confirms the anti-colonialist background of the President’s African grandfather, father and other relatives, who resisted and fought against British colonialism in Kenya, and in Africa generally. America is likewise seen as a colonial power. D’Souza begins the movie by showing the bust of Winston Churchill which had previously resided in the Oval Office as a gift from America’s allied nation and which was promptly shipped back to Great Britain in the President’s first week in office.

D’Souza notes that anti colonialists support jihadists and radical Muslims because they see them as co-victims of colonialism, which they strongly oppose. Thus, supporting radicals in the Muslim world, or at the very least not using every resource available to thwart them (example – allowing Iran to continue to develop nuclear weapons) is quite consistent with an anti-colonialist belief system.

VI. The Perfect Political Storm is Swirling

Just as one cyclone, or one low pressure system or even a small hurricane, by themselves, would not likely have led to a book and a movie commemorating The Perfect Storm. Likewise, just some Muslim training, or some Marxist beliefs or a leaning against America and Britain as colonial  powers, though unprecedented in a US President, and thus troubling, would not, taken alone, be a cause for a red alert, so to speak. But, just as Hurricane Grace joined a small cyclone and combined with a high pressure system to wreak havoc on America, the mixture of three toxic political belief systems combined in one man, should be more than cause for concern for Americans.

Coming back to where we started this article, we must acknowledge that God chooses our leaders. Thus, He has chosen our incumbent President. In doing so, He has combined in one man the background, training, parentage and beliefs of Islam, Marxism and anti-colonialism. What were the chances of The Perfect Storm forming in 1991? What were the chances of The Perfect President being elected in 2008? God doesn’t work on “chances”, but on His sovereign choices. Unless, America experiences a spiritual awakening, it is quite likely to experience a second term of The Perfect President. Perfect to be the instrument of God’s judgment on America, a nation which has destroyed seventy million of its own children through abortion. Over the last few months I have often observed that:

IF Barack Obama is God’s instrument of judgment on America,

there is no force on earth that can prevent his re-election.

That doesn’t mean we shouldn’t pray, work and vote for change. It does mean that we may watching The Perfect President eventually take the actions that prophecy says the leader of a rich, powerful and influential end times nation will take. No other prior President of the United States would so callously disregard calls for help by an invaded Israel, with whom this end times nation has a military defense agreement.

How does one explain an incumbent who is tied in the polls, while at the same time the nation faces unprecedented economic bad news, high gas prices, millions unemployed and numerous natural disasters? In spite of these facts, this President may, nevertheless, be re-elected? As Christians we may grumble about the mainstream media, or uninformed voters, or slanted polls, or…fill in the blank. The inconvenient truth is that we always get the leaders that we deserve, and leaders whom God chooses, based on….us. We need to fulfill II Chronicles 7:14, soon, humbling ourselves, in prayer, seeking God’s face and turning from our wicked ways….in order to be healed by God Almighty. We can’t vote ourselves out of a second term of The Perfect President if that’s God’s plan. However, if we experience a true II Chronicles 7:14 spiritual awakening and repentance, we could see the healing of our nation in our time. It’s no more complicated than that. God bless.
