Obituary

John Richard Price, 75, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, January 6, 2017. He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana to Cecil R. Price and Dorothy Imbler Price on February 2, 1941. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Betty Jean Cummings, Billy Price, and Gerald Price. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Suzanne Cathy Lammert Price. They enjoyed walking the beach and serving together at Horizon Church in Jaco, Costa Rica for the past five years. He was a graduate of Wabash University and Indiana University Law School. John loved spending time with his family. He is survived by his daughters Andrea Price Preissler, Heather Price MacFadyen, sons, John Price, II, Adam Price, his son-in-laws, Scott Preissler, Bruce MacFadyen and his daughter-in-law, Jana Price. Poppi loved and is loved by his grandchildren – Katie, Stephen, Allison, Thomas, Chase, Hannah, Addison, Quade, Price, Watts, Knox and Zachary. John Price was an attorney who represented conservative and Christian causes and clients in Indiana for over forty years, retiring recently to devote his time to writing. In 1979 Tyndale House published his book America at the Crossroads. His most recent books are The End of America, The Day, The Warning and Second Term. John Price was very involved in politics. In 1998 he narrowly missed the Republican nomination for the U. S. Senate from Indiana by about one vote per precinct. In 2000 he campaigned for the Republican nomination for Governor of Indiana. John was also a knowledgeable Bible teacher and taught many Bible studies over the years. “Strange, isn’t it? Each man’s life touches so many other lives. The visitation will be held at Castleview Baptist Church on Friday, January 13 from 6 to 8 pm and the funeral service will be held in the same location on Saturday, January 14 at 10 am.
